Learn to row

Participating in a learn-to-row course is a fun way to learn the skills of rowing, enjoy the outdoors for some general fitness and to meet people. Commercial Rowing Club offers a learn-to-row course consisting of six consecutive Saturday mornings starting at 7.30am and finishing at 9.30am.

The learn-to-row sessions are for people who are interested in taking up rowing socially or competitively, looking for a great way to keep fit, and usually include up to 10 people.

The aim of the learn-to-row course is to teach you how to row, how to correctly handle the boats on and off the water, and to manoeuvre the boats on the water without supervision.

Upon completion of the learn-to-row course, participants have the option of joining with a view to becoming a competitive rower or to participate in recreational rowing. You must be a minimum of 14 years to participate in our learn to row course.
