Do you dream of representing Australia at the World Rowing Championships or Olympic Games? Are you looking to join an established rowing club with a proven track record that will support you to achieve your rowing ambitions?
Our high performance rowing program is the gold standard of rowing training experience at CRC led by Head Coach, Jacinta Edmunds.
Jacinta is a former Australian representative rower who medalled at the 2018 and 2019 World Rowing Championships and was selected for the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games. She channels her extensive rowing experience into her coaching. She trains and mentors our athletes for their rowing pathway to national selection.
The program includes Under 19–21, Under 23 and Senior A squads. Membership brings with it an expectation of work ethic, performance and commitment to the training program.
The focus of this phase is to build endurance and technical development.
The phase works on building speed, developing race skills and seat racing.
Athletes will race at local regattas as part of their training and preparation, culminating in the Queensland State Championship.
Athletes who meet strict requirements may be eligible for selection to compete and the NSW State Championship. Athletes trialling for U23 or Queensland team selection may be considered to compete at the Australian Rowing Championship.
This phase is for rest and recovery. Our high performance athletes are encouraged to cross train and prepare for erg testing.
The number of athletes accepted into our high performance program is limited. Selection is based on:
