Our popular learn to row program is for adults aged 18 years+ who are looking for a fun way to keep fit, learn new skills and meet people in a supportive environment.
The program runs for 8–10 weeks and is usually held on a Saturday or Sunday morning from 7–9am.
You’ll learn the basic skills of rowing and how to set up and handle boats correctly and safely.
What to bring
- Clothing — fitted t-shirt and bike pants (loose clothing is not advised as it can get caught in the oar handles).
- Socks — you must wear socks or soft-soled reef shoes in the boats.
- Sun protection — hat, sunscreen and sunglasses are strongly recommended as you will on the water for approximately 2 hours per session.
- Water bottle — plastic only (not metal).
Upon completion of the program, you’ll be ready to take the next step and row independently in a 4-person boat (quad).
